Reapproaching represents the debut single of the Nexus music project and serves as the first glimpse into the emotional and sonic identity of the duo. It also acts as the lead single foretelling their first official electronic music album, marking the beginning of Nexus’s discography.

Inspired by the golden era of electronic dance music from 2011 to 2016, Reapproaching is a journey of rediscovery. The track reflects the artists’ process of reconnecting with their inner selves before fully learning how to express that energy through sound. It’s a personal and collective revival, also marked by the collaboration with local singer Elia Elvieri, one of the first artists to take their initial steps inside Nexus Studios.

Sound Design and Message of Unity

The track features a classic EDM structure, combining a powerful progressive house synth with vocals centered around the theme of unity — one of the core values of Nexus. Its standout feature is the slowed-down rhythm just before the drop, creating tension and emotional build-up, inviting the listener to move with the beat at 128 BPM.

At its core, Reapproaching delivers one of the founding messages of the Nexus project: the deep need for real, human connection. In an age dominated by digital interaction, the song invites us to rediscover the meaning of genuine relationships and the importance of belonging to a community.

Technology may help us stay connected, but it cannot replace the emotional depth of being truly present for one another. The key message is about rediscovering ourselves and expressing to the world who we truly are and who we want to be for others. It’s a statement about identity, vulnerability, and the courage to be seen as we are.

The origins of the Nexus music project still remain partly unknown, born from the unlikely collaboration of two Italian music producers with different backgrounds. What began as a casual encounter soon grew into a groundbreaking journey, fueled by creativity, emotion, and innovation. In the early days, their studio sessions produced only a few demos and fragments of sound that would later become the foundation for future releases. 

The two founders envisioned Nexus as more than a project — it was a journey to touch people’s hearts. Whether through a single track or a full concert, Nexus aimed to build an emotional connection between artist and listener, turning inner feelings into collective moments. 

From Home Studio to Nexus Studios

In 2020, the Nexus music project reached a turning point. After years of creating music in simple spaces, the duo transformed their first studio in Villaverla, Italy, into a fully equipped creative hub: Nexus Studios. This change reflected their artistic growth and their desire to open up the space to other musicians and producers, building a true collaborative environment.

Early demos were completed and prepared for official releases, and the space became a symbol of shared creativity — always in connection with the original vision of Nexus.

This was the true beginning of Nexus as an electronic music project: a fusion of artistic freedom and emotional expression. In its full meaning, Nexus began at this point of departure.

Even without media hype, Nexus silently releases their first work called “Origins”, and EP with the subtitles “Where Everything Became Sound”.
